Avocado

Fruit of high nutritional value, highlighting its high concentration of proteins and unsaturated oils and the absence of cholesterol. It is a species native to Mesoamerica, specifically the highlands of central and eastern Mexico and Guatemala. The oldest evidence of its use was found in Coaxcatlán (Mexico) and dates back to about 10,000 years ago. Currently, the species is cultivated in places with tropical and Mediterranean climates throughout the world.
